Job Summary:
The Information Technology Leader, Cyprus, is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the IT team while ensuring alignment between IT services and business objectives. This role will focus on overseeing IT operations, mediating business demands for IT resources, fostering strong relationships between IT and business units, and ensuring the successful delivery of key IT initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of technical expertise, leadership skills, and strategic thinking to support the organization's technology-driven objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Operations Management:

  • Oversee daily IT team activities, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the IT team, ensuring clear priorities and accountability.
  • Monitor IT service delivery and ensure optimal system performance and reliability.

Business Relationship Management:

  • Act as the primary IT liaison for business units in Cyprus, fostering strong relationships and understanding business needs.
  • Work closely with department heads to translate business requirements into IT solutions.
  • Mediate and prioritize business demands for IT time and resources effectively.

Project Oversight & Reporting:

  • Track and monitor key IT projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met.
  • Provide regular updates on IT initiatives to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure adherence to project management best practices and company-wide IT governance policies.

Strategic IT Leadership:

  • Contribute to IT strategy development by identifying opportunities for technology improvements.
  • Ensure alignment between local IT initiatives and the overall corporate IT strategy.
  • Implement IT best practices and ensure compliance with corporate security and regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the local IT team, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
  • Support the professional growth of team members through training and career development initiatives.
  • Manage IT team performance, setting clear goals and conducting regular evaluations.

Risk & Compliance Management:

  • Ensure IT security policies and regulatory compliance requirements are met.
  • Identify and mitigate IT-related risks, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
  • Collaborate with global IT security teams to ensure local compliance with cybersecurity policies.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in IT management roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong background in IT operations, project management, and business relationship management.
  • Experience in the hospitality, gaming, or entertainment industry preferred but not required.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Familiarity with IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL, COBIT) and best practices in IT service management.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity, compliance, and risk management principles.
