Job Overview
As a Business Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in software development projects by engaging with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements.
Main Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document their requirements for software development projects.
- Analyse and translate business needs into clear and actionable software requirements.
- Work closely with business leaders to ensure that software development initiatives align with overall business goals and objectives.
- Provide insights on how technology can support and enhance business processes.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and software development teams
- Facilitate communication and understanding to ensure that technical solutions meet business requirements.
- Develop detailed and well-defined user stories, use cases, and acceptance criteria for software development projects.
- Collaborate with development teams during sprint planning and execution.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of business requirements, functional specifications, and system workflows.
- Ensure documentation is clear, accessible, and serves as a reference for all stakeholders.
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and facilitate resolution of issues identified during testing.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the software development lifecycle.
- Recommend enhancements to existing systems based on feedback from business users.
- Identify potential risks and challenges related to business requirements and work with stakeholders to mitigate them.
- Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines or deliverables.
- Communicate project progress, status, and issues to stakeholders in a clear and timely manner.
- Foster a collaborative and transparent environment between business and development teams.
- Facilitate knowledge transfer between business and development teams to enhance mutual understanding.
- Provide training sessions on new features and functionality to end-users.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science or any other relevant field.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst, or a similar role.
- Fluent in English, additional languages will be considered an advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical skills to translate business needs into clear and actionable software requirements.
- Experience working closely with business leaders to ensure software development initiatives align with overall business goals and objectives.
